Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period

Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period is the time of year when you can make changes to your Medicare coverage.  You can add, drop or change how you receive your Medicare benefits.  You can join a new Medicare Advantage Plan;  join a new-stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan to use with Original Medicare; you can switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan; and switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan to Original Medicare, with or without a Part D plan.  You may be able to receive better health or drug coverage at a more affordable price.  If you are interested in exploring your options call RVSC at 469-4556 for an appointment time with one of our trained, certified counselors.  Our counselors do not sell insurance and will provide you with the facts that you need to know to make an informed decision

Quilting Bee

Tai Chi

Thursdays at 1:30

 

Tai Chi is the slow moving, centuries-old, martial art.  Tai Chi can help obtain balance (both physical and mental); keep the body supple; improve physical and emotional well being; increase energy and endurance; and provide a sense of serenity.  Health benefits may include reduction in stress; lower blood pressure; relief from arthritic pain and, according to the CDC, help in the prevention of falls.  There is no competition - you proceed at your own pace.  Wear loose fitting clothing - be comfortable..  Punch cards available—6session for $48, 8 session for $60 or drop in fee of $10.  Janet Snelgrove, Facilitator.  Call 269 982-7282.

 

Knitting and Crocheting

Fridays at 1:00

 

Ron Ahrens a master in knitting and crocheting is leading a group activity on Fridays from 1:00 to 2:30.  Bring a project if you have one and we will work out the problems that you may have. So if you like to knit or crochet call the Center and sign up at 469-4556.

 

 

Exercise Class

Monday, Wednesday & Friday

At 9:00 & 10:00

 

The Exercise class will have 2 sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m..  This session was added to accommodate the large turn out..
